New Service-Meter Installation

• General Information
• NUDRC requires a 911 issued address for all service addresses.  No lot numbers will be accepted
• Meter Location 
  • NUDRC reserves the right to install the tap where it benefits NUDRC however, the customer will be given the opportunity to choose the meter location. 
  • Please come by the NUDRC office and pick up a blue flag and mark the desired location.  The marker must be placed approximately five (5) to ten (10) feet off the edge of the road and behind the county or state right of way.   
  • If the preferred location isn't marked prior to install, then the meter will be placed where it most benefits the utility.   NUDRC contracts out meter installation and you will not be contacted prior to installation.  
  • All flowers, bushes, trees, landscaping, etc. that are in the way of installing or maintaining service are not the responsibility of NUDRC and therefore NUDRC will not pay for damages. 
  • Do not place any landscaping materials on or around the meter box. The lid should be accessible and visible at all times.  NUDRC will not remove landscaping materials to locate the meter. 
• Installation Timeline
  • Meter installation will be at least 60 days from receipt of payment.  Payment will be deposited upon receipt.
• Billing
  • Once the meter is installed you will begin being billed at least a minimum bill.  This will occur even if you have not yet connected your meter.  
  • You will also be auto enrolled in our Servline leak protection program.  Attached is some additional information on this.  
• Payment for new tap
  • Please complete the attached water service contract and return with a copy of your driver's license along with a check in the amount of the tap fee payable to NUDRC Po Box 1089 Spring City, TN 37381.  You can also drop the documents off in person at the NUDRC office located at 23928 Rhea County Highway Spring City, TN 37381
• Servline Coverage
  • You will also be automatically enrolled in our Servline leak protection program. If you wish to opt
    out of this service, please let the office know.

• • Servline coverage is the only leak adjustment we offer so opting out will result in 100% cost of
    any high bills due to leaks.
